Dr. Jacque Minger was born and raised in Volusia County, Florida and attended T. Dewitt High School in Pierson. You may have seen Dr. Minger as she was growing up as she was an active participant in the Volusia County Fair showing breeding heifers and steers. She was also very active in Florida High School Rodeo and attended college on a Rodeo Scholarship. Dr. Minger was a Volusia County Cattlemen’s Sweetheart and she helped to promote the Beef Industry throughout our county and the State of Florida. Dr. Minger attended the University of Florida where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Animal Science. After graduating from UF, she became a pharmaceutical sales representative for a time. However, her passion since the early age of 4 was always veterinary medicine. Dr. Minger graduated in 2013 from St. Matthew’s University after completing her clinical year at Oklahoma State University. During her final year at St. Matthew’s, Dr. Minger met her husband, Oscar. Together they have a French bulldog named Edith Ann. In her spare time, Dr. Minger enjoys being out on the water fishing with her husband. She also enjoys riding horses and working cows on her family’s ranch. Dr. Minger would love to meet you and your furry family members. Her knowledge of animal nutrition allows her to help owners understand the importance of a well-balanced diet and exercise program for their pets. Dr. Minger’s future goals include becoming certified in animal acupuncture and chiropractic.
